1. Q: The kitchen faucet falls over due to the weight of the cast spout during one-man installation, what's the easiest way to install it? A: The easiest way is to install it in is let it lay as it wants to, then from underneath pull down on the strong braided stainless steel supply lines till it sits upright. Then lightly snug the brass center nut. Then go back topside and center the faucet within the trim plate and center the handle throw. This method takes another 3 minutes over a standard installation but it's a good tradeoff to get in return our heavy cast spout and the versatility of using 1 faucet as either a single hole installation or with a base plate. 2: Q: What about replacement parts? A: The most common request for spare parts is because people lose small parts. We carry a full range of replacement parts in stock in the slight chance you may ever need one. If you get in a jam, we can next day you parts. We do recommend you have a small pack of the type of small parts your techs' are likely to lose like hose washers and gaskets. 3: Q: What is the faucet warranty? A: Our lifetime limited warranty is extensive, but in condensed fashion, if any part fails due to materials or workmanship for the life of the product, we will replace the part for free. Call for details. 4: Q: Why don't instructions come with the faucets? A: For the same reason doctor's syringes don't come with instructions. We only sell to professional plumbing firms whose experience is prequalified, so our dealers are way past needing instructions. 5: Q: What can the faucets be cleaned with? A: Since even some Scotchbrite style pads usually contain abrasives, use only soft cloths and non abrasive, non-corrosive liquid cleaners. 6: Q: Sometimes the FaucetCraft name engraved on the handles look fuzzy. A: The name is laser engraved and sometimes the vaporized chrome leaves a little bit of residue. Just wipe this off with a soft cloth when you wipe down the entire faucet as part of the final polishing just prior to presenting the completed installation procedure to your client. 7. Q: The pullout spray kitchen faucet doesn't flow as much water as needed sometimes when used at a property with very low water pressure. What can I do to resolve this? A: This often is a partial function of the Code mandated check valve in the spray handle. Although it is removable for cleaning, to leave it out to achieve higher flow would violate Codes and would conceivably allow back-siphonage and be counter to our IAPMO approval. 8. Q: Why do you use black nylon hoses instead of metal hoses for the spray? A: We could use metal, as they are less expensive, but the nylon ones hold up better. The metal hoses usually have a brass internal thimble that even though is tapered, the edge of the thin wall tube is sharp, which eventually cuts through the liner and then leaks. Besides, they sell faucets with metal hoses at Home Depot. 9. Q: How can we be assured you won't sell to Home Depot or DIY's? A: Because we don't answer to partners, shareholders, etc. We only answer to you, licensed plumbing professionals. This is our marketing niche, and it is quite successful for us because we've stayed rigidly to this exclusive marketing method. 10. Q: What types of approvals do the faucets have? A: We have IAPMO approval and we are NSF 61 compliant and we are very well within compliance with California Prop 65 lead requirements. 11: Q: Why do you have only a color brochure and not a full catalog? A: Our primary means of marketing is via our website to licensed plumbing firms. We are working on a product catalog designed specifically for our dealers to leave with clients, but most of our dealers close the sale of the installation once the client handles the faucets. We are working on a catalog to leave a client that has carefully crafted language designed for client consumption. Copyright © 2000-2005 FaucetCraft. All rights reserved. |
