Yellow page advertising issues seem somewhat of a mystery to many, and all those plumbing contractors who exhort their clients to not try to do things themselves, to hire a professional plumber, well, many don't take their own advice. Attendees of this seminar are exposed to a significant number of outstanding yellow page ads with many designed for the plumbing profession. Every detail is scrutinized for marketing value, and those values are discussed in depth.

Attendees are shown the different ways to create perceptions of expertise and professionalism with ads. Added is discussions on marketing mistakes and pitfalls to avoid in yellow page ads, and examples of those are shown.

As an example of some of the needed minute detail in the seminar, we talk about how George Brazil commissioned an artist to make the famous logo on the sides of the trucks with the journeyman in an all white uniform. George wanted a drawing of a fictitious male that was good looking enough that a women would feel comfortable in her home with him present, but not good looking enough that her husband wouldn't. This usually gets a laugh, but the point is important. Another issue delved into is the range of different perceptions of yellow page advertisement viewers and how to cater to those perceptions with your ads. One of those is speed of service. People like to use business people in their area.
